I am in Lake Tahoe enjoying my Christmas present from my sister. I have slept through most of the trip. Being on Tykerb on vacation doesn't computer for much fun. It has not been snowing, but there are snow on most of the roofs and it is really beautiful. I did go to the casino last night and had a good time, but not that good of a time, since I didn't win anything. I missed a shopping trip today, since i had difficulty getting out of bed. I am hoping everyone is having a good holidays and I am still thinking of each and everyone of ya'll everyday. If anyone is close to Lake Tahoe let me know, maybe we can meet for lunch or dinner.

Maybe she could adopt us all and we could stay up and talk all night while eating ice cream (you know, the "harmless" kind)!!! I'm seeing the most interesting pjs and robes! ma

Are you on the north shore or the south shore?? We are driving up to Truckee (north)tomorrow. It is really supposed to dump snow soon- hope we can make it back home on Sunday!!

Hope you at least get to sit by a warm fire! Tahoe is one of my favorite spots- just gorgeous.

Hi Vaness!
My DD was in Tahoe with her step bro (he lives east of Fernley in Fallon,Nev.) skiing for the very first time (over the week Dec 22-30). Another BC friend of mine from here in Jackson MS spent the holidays at Harveys (small world!) and yet another took her son skiing for the first time in tahoe also! My husband worked at Harveys back in the 70s and I we went to visit once...truly G-ds country! Hope you found it restorative and uplifting!

Hugs,Marcia

Hi Vanessa,

What a great sister you have. Even if you don't do much I'm sure you're enjoying just being in a different surrounding. Getting away from the usual every day things does wonders to lift your spirits. Enjoy yourself!

Hi Vanessa!

It is beautiful there. Many moons ago my sweetheart took me to the casinos for my 21st birthday and with the first coin I put in one of the one-arm bandits I got the jackpot. It was a double-header and on the next coin I won that too... and left without giving ANY of it back... I don't have the money anymore, but I still have the sweetheart!

Sending you lots of good luck!

A.A.

What great stories, of course I have been home since the 3rd, but it was very relaxing and uplifting. On NYE I spent the night at Harrah's. Let the time slip away, tried to get a cab at 4:00am in the morning. There were none, so I had to call my brother-in-law to come pick me up. It is a good thing he thought it was funny. I slept almost all day the next day, I was so tired. But I sure had fun on the slots. I was fortunate that one machine kept giving me just enough money to keep playing.
