I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
May it be filled with peace, love and tons of good food.
Enjoy every minute with your family and friends and eat lots, I plan to.

Irene, thanks for the nice wishes. More coming your way from me in turn.
This will be a rather strange Thanksgiving as my parents have been coming to our house for almost 20 years running. Now with dad passed away and mom not able to drive over the mountains herself, we find that we want to gather with family in our area, but do something different as well.
Our city zoo has been holding a Thanksgiving dinner fundraiser for about 10 years. We have decided to do the main dinner at the zoo and have dessert with our local family later when they are ready. So, no traditional pie baking on Wed night and haggling with mom over what to put in the dressing (she did not like to be very adventurous with the dressing).
We also get a zoo pass as part of the dinner price so hope the weather will be nice enough to stroll through the various habitats.

Steph, how fun to try something new and different!
My husband is working over the holiday. I was just going to do something by myself. But instead my brother in law has offered to drive 2 hours to pick me up and take me to join a family feast. I was so touched by his gesture!

Already doing my cooking, but wanted to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving. Though it seems more like summer, I've had the doors and window open today despite all of the rain we're getting.
