I am soooo excited this year for Thanksgiving.....and Christmas to boot! Gone are the years of complaining about how I will get everything done, and how tired I am (before BC). I feel like a little kid again- so excited, "eyes wide open", and feeling the meaning. I rarely say this, but thank you breast cancer, for making me feel alive again, and remembering whats important in life. Most of all, thank you God for blessing me in so many ways- more than I can count.

Love, Kelly

Kelly, I am like you, I feel like a kid this year with such anticipation for the holidays. Last year I was in the middle of my treatments of A/C and didn't have the energy for anything. So this year I am decorating my house to the hilt, we have adopted to 8 year olds through our church for christmas ( It is fun buying gifts for children) we talked about doing this for many years and finally I decided it was time to give to someone else and make their holiday a bit brighter. We are also going to PA to be with my daughter and son-in-law and my two precious grandchildren for a few days before christmas, before my son-in-law starts his grueling treatment for malignant melenoma. I just feel so alive this year and thankful for every day! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL MY HER2 SISTERS!!!!!!!

Kelly that is so true, my birthday is in Dec and I' hated when my birthday was coming ...because I though that I was getting old ...but after BC I start to have my small celebration and no embarracing when I said my age ..sometimes 2 months after diag I was in the Doc office and my interior mind din't responde with the true and my responce was adding 2 more year to my age (i was 38 and I said 40) and when check time I was reading the sheet ...and I said "oh I'm sorry I give my wrong age I' 38 year old only " now now I just want to be old and of course the thankgiving and christmas celebration have other meaning ...it is a celebration of live too, I wish to everybody a very nice thanksgivens

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1/1_4_9.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824LBUS) I'm back to "Thanks-living" this year too! Surely does feel good. We stayed after church for the Thanksgiving pot luck; so our granddaughter could get in her much desired "social time", but guess who had the bestest time? Me, of course! That little rascal thinks I'm helping her....what a joke! Feels like I'm getting all the "Thanks-living" education!
Love and thanksliving to each of you!

and sharing them with my family her is one of my complete joys. Through the last several months I have recieved all the love and support that we have needed to fight and conquer this horrific battle. There has never been a time in my life that I have felt more completed and loved. You all have enriched my life so very much that no words that I could ever write would compare to the feelings I have for you Angel Warriors!! My husband and I are indebited forever to the bonds that we all share here and give thanks each and every day. Some may say that following your journeys would be so depressing (yes I know people that could never be a part of our world even though they have breast cancer!!). Not us!! I find that following your journeys and listening to your souls has enriched us, made us better than before. My world needs all of you, I need to hear your smiles, to listen to your concerns, to somewhat give back.

So yes Ladies, I am thankful that my house is warm and there is food in the fridge. I am thankful that I can watch my granddaughter grow along side of her family. Thankful that my husband has such a wonderful support team and all of what he needs to fight this fight. I am appreciative that my family is here loving me day to day and that you are part of that family. I think the thing I am most thankful for is the better person I become every day, struggling to be positive and spiritual, to gain control of my feelings and give back to others in need. Becoming a pro again of the person I once was before breast cancer entered our lives. Once it entered I did loose myself for a while, but I am back now new and revised, better than before thanks to you.

Thank you all My Sweets for coming here every day and loving us all. We could not do it without you. And of course, Joe & Christine, the thanks I have for both of you is as deep as the ocean!! Without you both I would have never known some of the greatest Warriors that encompass our lives on a regular basis. Love, Blessings and Prayers>>Believe51

PS: Although I say thanks each day it is such a pleasure to have an entire day to think of the things which I hold sacred!! And even the big dinner for the two of us is worth the effort just to be able to sit and eat with the Mighty Oak for yet another holiday. I am truely blessed!!>>MarieG

Happy Thanksliving dear sisters.

Yes, I am in a better place today than last year at this time. I am so grateful for so many blessings, one being this site. To all who are going through chemo right now, you can do it! We are here to cheer you on and rejoice with you when you complete treatment. It does get better.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am especially thankful for this thanksgiving. Last year when I started my chemo, I set a goal. I was going to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for my family in 2007 (No way I was able last thanksgiving). I'm so happy that I'm here and I'm working on that dinner! My sons and their families will be here and I can't put into words how wonderful that makes me feel. 18 monthes ago, I thought I was doomed and would never prepare another feast for my family, I thank God everyday! My best to all of you and hope you have wonderful holidays.
Love and Hugs
