Navelbine questions from Lida

I want to thank you for your helpful responses to my Navelbine and Gemzar side effects questions. My onc wants me to start Navelbine (with Herceptin) due to a study showing high response to Navelbine with Herceptin, so I said ok. (But she said Gemzar was a good med as well.) For those of you on Navelbine, how soon did you get your first scans- after how many cycles? When did you know if Navelbine was effective?

Also, what method of infusion, regular infusion or "the push method" resulted in fewer side effects?
