My son-in-law had surgery last week for melanoma on his back and foot. They also biopsied a lypmh node in the groin area. They got the path report back today and there was cancer in the lymph node. My daughter is devestated. She is still trying to comprehend my having cancer and now her husband. He is only 35 and they have two small boys age 4 and 5. My heart just aches for them. This news was worse for me than when I recieved my diagnosis. Please pray for them. I am off to Pennsylvania this weekend to try and console and counsel them. I must hang on to my faith, but today I am really struggling. Thanks for letting me ramble.

Debbie, you used the word "counsel" and how true it is. You will be bringing your own unique experience, strength and hope to them. God bless.

Oh, Debbie!
How much you must hurt for that sweet family. Yes, it is soooo much harder to see them suffer than to do it ourselves. We'll we can pray and wait to hear from you again on what more you find out. I'll be hoping for the very best of news! ma

Debbie, I'm keeping your family in my prayers. Melanoma is a tough one, but recent trials have shown some good responses to immune therapies. Hopefully their onc can plan a good treatment protocol, and maybe a clinical trial will be an option.
