Well girls, I had my Pet/CT scan and don't have the results yet, but I always get a copy and from what I can (or should I say can't) see, it looks clear.
Obviously I'm not a rad tech, but comparing the new scan to the old one, I can't see any obvious hot spots.
I'll know in about a week.

However, I'm having terrible hip joint and back (SI joint) pain. Also knees, ankles wrists, but not as bad.
I'm also having problems with a toe, which I thought was an ingrown nail. Add a couple red and silvery spots on my radiated breast, to that and the symptoms may mean I am developing PA (psoriatic arthritis), which is not good.
I have a doctor's appt. Friday and will see what she says.

Hi Brenda D

We'll take "maybe" good news!! I'm sure you're feeling better about the scans
after seeing them yourself.

I'm sorry about all the pain you are having in your joints - that's no fun.
Good luck with the doc. appointment and the arthritis dx.

I love how we read our ownb scans, lab work...we could darn near be Dr's. Hoping your scan is all clear, and the pain you are having is due to arthritis or meds....I think part of mine is age, but it seems like new places hurt every day.....as my Dad always says, old age is not for sissies!

Shelia:

I have to laugh at your post. It is so true. I looked at the monitor during my bone scan, determined I could read it, and convinced myself that the cancer had spread. I went home and told my husband so, only to find out later, I had a clear scan. Oh, gosh, the things we go through.

Brenda: Glad you feel better about your scans and believing that you get the good news soon.

Brenda,

Interested in what happens with your pain & swelling. I had terrible hip/sciatic pain after 1 year of Herceptin. Needed a total hip replacement and had wacky blood work & SED rate then shortly after the hip -wrists, hands, knees & ankles painful and swollen. Saw a rheumatologist who categorizes me in the arthritis that is inflammatory - he is thinking it is psoriatic but no clear answers as I do not have the skin problems. To the best of my knowledge arthritis of this type does not run in my family. I will always wonder if it is Herceptin.

Good luck I will be thinking about you.
