My Onc's nurse just called 3 minutes ago. Long story short, I had my 6 month PET/CT yesterday. OMG. It is 100% clear of ANYTHING. No activity in the torso anywhere, bone met in neck at C3 has no activity and no sign of previous brain mets activity. I mean ALL CLEAR. At least as far and deep as a PET can tell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to go faint now and then send my deepest, most spiritual prayers of gratitude to the Tykerb/Xeloda God!

See you after I come to.

I am speachless for you Lovey, you Tykerb Tiger. As you know speachless is not a word I use much because very rarely am I without words. You go girl!! I am so proud of you and the fight you have endured and honored that you are my friend. I have prayed for this for you for so long and those prayers have been answered. Grace - the concert/dinner/gala was absolutely spectacular! I cried during all of my favorite Elton songs (as I always do when I see him, I am a dork) and danced during the others. He auctioned off dinner for 12 at one of his three houses (Windsor, UK, Nice, FRA, or Atlanta, GA) - for $150,000.-- Boy do I wish I was rich!! I got to meet the very swell and terribly cute Andy Roddick. Wow. I have always been a fan, but now I am really a big fan.

I wish I could celebrate tonight, but today I am prepping for my colonoscopy tomorrow... hardly "celebration friendly circumstances" LOL!! Oops - gotta run, no pun intended. hahahahah

Hi Brenda,

Glad the concert was all that you wanted it to be. A bit late now, I guess, but I had that new stuff (just mix with water) for my colonoscopy and according to my husband I lucked out. I don't remember a thing about the actual procedure as it went so smoothly, as I'm sure yours will go. Good luck and, again, delighted for you on this happiest of days.

BUT just how very happy I am to hear this news. The combo IS fantastic and so hopeful for so many.

Will they keep you on it indefinitely?

You keep up the good work girl and stay as funny as you are always.

Hey, I did not know that there was another Elton John fan out there like I am. I love all of his songs.

I had my markers drawn today so we will see how the Tykerb/Avastin is doing after 3 cycles. I am getting ready for the 3-day Susan Komen here in Tampa this week-end. We start training on Thursday and then have the next 3 days of fun/cries/fun/sharing/fun/getting to sleep in tents for 2 nites and then more fun.

Talk to everyone on my return next week.

Stay well

Hi all - thanks so much. Irene... the doc said today that there is no need to fix what is not broken, so since the T/X has done such a tremendous job and I tolerate it so well, then I will stay on it indefinitely at the current dose. I have no problem with that.

Oh Brenda, I am sorry this is late getting to ya, but I am just catching up. By now you are probably another 5 lbs thinner - if that is possible (my jealousy speaking). Your gut instinct was right on. Give your doc's a hug for supporting your decision to go w/ meds and not WBR for now. Let us know how the colonoscopy went. BRENDA, YOU JUST ROCK GIRLFRIEND!

When I had *my* moment, after radiologist 2 and 3 (independent of one another) told me what they were looking at (in my liver) were not tumors but the dead remains of tumors (necratic tissue), cyst-like and filled w/fluid)... I was stunned. My brain froze. I stuttered, Well. What does that mean? My onc was smiling broadly, but he always did. It means...that you are...in...(long pause) *cautious* remission. I took it. It was the best any one had said of my bc situation. And with each day, it slowly sunk in... I was ecstatic. Every so often Paul would say to be, Let's not get too cocky. I would say, I'm not, I'm grateful with each day, but joyful too. So, Brenda, live each day full of bliss, proud of what you and your body have accomplished and appreciative for your miraculous results! WHAT A BLESSNG! I rejoice with you. What a moment. May it be followed by another 50 years of dancing with NED! With love and thoughts of you beaming... http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/thghts/smile
