Looking for others on Tykerb. Have been on Herceptin for 8 1/2 years - now have mets to mediastinal lymph node and will start Tykerb next week.

Hi!
I just started tykerb last week. I've been on herceptin for 7 1/2 years and recently had pleural effusions in the right lung, adjacent lymph node mets, and probably a few small mets in the base of the right lung. I also have bone mets to the right rib and left scapula - these are old and stable.
My onc stopped the herceptin and I'm continuing taxotere (2 more cycles) with the tykerb. Then we'll do scans and decide what to add in place of the taxotere.
What about you??
