Hello again,
Last weekend I attended a Nordic BC conf. here in Iceland. New medicine, new methods of dx, infertility with chemo, bc and sexuality and so on. Belly dance in evening and laughs an joy of 150 skandinavian bc survivors.
This conference was opened by former president of Iceland, Vigdis Finnbogadottir. She had bc in 1977 and three years later she was elected the president of Iceland, the first women in the world to be elected in democratic election.
She was then and still is unmarried, had adopted a newborn babyögirl in 1972 and was a teacher, guide and a director of the municipal theater.
She is a role model for women all over the world and now advocating as a UN repr. for the women and children of the world.
