I had a lumpectomy in Feb.2004. It was ER+ PR+ and HER/2 +++.I had been on prozac and seroquel for depression since then. Now I'm on cymbalta and the doctor wants to add seroquel again. I recently read that some breast cancers are sensitive to high levels of prolactin and seroquel does raise prolactin levels. Apparently about 30% of breast cancer is sensitive to these high levels. Does anyone know anything about this and can the labs test for it. I'm worried about going back on seroquel although it does help me.
Thanks

Food for thought.

Get hold of a copy of Smart Fats by A Scmidt, (or there is an update). It can be found on the WEB s/h for a few dollars. It is an exellent thought provoking book.

It deal with nutrition and mental function including depression.

Also you may like to have a look at the posts on omega three and six etc. in respect of general health and BC.

I thought that seroquel was a sleep aid not an antidepressant. I am on effexor and have been for 4 years and I take ambienCR for sleep.
