I had a brain MRI with contrast done last week, 3 months post the X-knife procedure at Cedars-Sinai in Jan.
The results are in, the lesion in my cerebellum that was 12 mm x 4 mm (rice shaped) has decreased in size by over 50%, and there were no new lesions or activity detected. No swelling visible and they saw all healthy tissue around what was left of the lesion. So that was very good news.
Dr. Black at Cedar-Sinai, indicated that I had a 50% chance that I would never have another brain lesion, and that the current one would never need additional treatment, so perhaps I'm on the way to that lucky 50% that does not have to deal with any additional lesions in my brain.
I'm feeling pretty good these days, going wine tasting in Temecula this week-end, my wine racks are looking tacky because they are almost empty. Chris is good about emptying the racks, but not so good about remembering to re-fill them again.
