Can you have symptoms before blood work shows anything?

In general, can you have symptoms before your blood work is out of range or TM's?

Thank you, but I went to Breast Cancer. Org and chatted last night and yes it can happen. This one gal I talked with her TM' s and blood panel and CBC's showed nothing and she had liver mets. She told her onc. of her symptoms and they did ct scans and ultra sounds 2 each and it didn't show up, but once they did the PET, it showed up. So just in case any of you have symptoms and they keep telling you that they can't find anything, you might want to ask for a PET. FYI.

I had an itch in my right shoulder blade that was deep inside and couldn't be statisfied. Sounds weird, but I would tell everyone to scratch till it bled. I have since learned that this can be a side effect of liver met's. Also, I had a cough that would not go away and I was very short of breath - met's to the lungs....
