Hi, it's been a while since I've been on here. I had the Chemo embolizaition done to my liver in May and I almost died. I have never been so sick in my life. I even asked my Onc if this was my last dance and he said that it could be. I was on TPN and in hospital 4 times in 5 weeks. I had scans done last week and get results Friday. I have a feeling that the procedure did not work. I am having alot of liver pain.
The next step is clinical trials. I have had just about all the chemos there are and have had Herceptin for 3 years now. Thing is I don't know if I want anymore. My body is so tired.....Does anyone else ever feel this way.
I have always been a fighter and this thought scares me......But I am tired.

Oh Sherry!
I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a hard time. Please keep us posted on the results of the scans...We'll all pray for NED! As one of my very wise friends has said to me "Stay strong. And when you can't, lean on hard on us."
Hang in there & Keep the Faith.
Sherry,
I too am so sorry that you are going through this. While I unfortunately can't offer you any medical wisdom to relieve the fatigue that you are living with I can echo the wonderful words from Jessica, "lean on us"! I understand that your fatigue is physical but let us do all we can to help you with the emotional side.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Sherry,
Oh, what hell you have been through these last few months; you have truly been too close to the edge and God bless your fighting spirit that brings you back to your family and to us. You must feel like you can't take one ounce more of chemo scans or radiation; sometimes when you are so exhausted you just don't give a damn any more. Please hold this prayer for NED, and our love, close to your heart. How grateful we are that you took the time to come back on the boards to tell us how you are doing. Please tell us the results of your Friday scans.
Love Kim From CT

Dear Sherry -
As I recall you have had a big battle going on for a while prior to this episode. I hope it is just that - an episode. That it will subside and you will gather strength and get a little rest soon.
What kind of clinical trials are you contemplating?? Very curious.
Can you also tell us more about the embolization procedure?? Is this where they put the drugs directly into your organ??
You survived all that for SOME reason. You were spared by the grace of God to go on and fight some more I believe! Don't put that sword away just yet, please.
Sherry,
My heart goes out to you. This is , really, really, REALLY tough, I know -- but I believe you CAN hang in there!
May I ask what "chemo embolization" means?
Take good care of yourself and please do keep us posted -- we are always interested in hearing about clinical trials.
