Hi! My latest bloodwork showed an elevated Potassium level. I have taken 5 treatments (once every 3 weeks) of Herceptin only. Does anyone know what an elevated Potassium level can indicate? Is there any relationship between this and the fact that I just found out that my Mugascan percentage rate has dropped by 20%. For now, my doctor has asked to redo my bloodwork to check my levels.

It may indicate kidney problems, but in many cases it is only temporary.
Talk to your oncologist, doing the bloodwork over is a great idea.

Jamie,
High Potassium levels may be a result of bone problems, osteo, mets, etc. When did you have your last bone scan, maybe it is time for another. High potassium will result in heart irregularities because potassium is an electrolyte that is directly involved with heart function.

Thanks for the advice! My Potassium level was 9.3 which was critically high, I got re-tested yesterday and it was completely normal = 4.4. The nurse said that it was just a lab error. We all know what it's like to panic if anything comes back abnormal - I'm glad that this issue was resolved quickly!!
