A milestone for Michele!
Her last vaccine shot. Now for the followup bloodwork and I sure hope it will show a good response!

I am fortunate to have Dr. Salazar as an assistent to my med onc from time to time. She likes to see patients outside the vaccine group to see how other treatments are working. Really a "Wonderwoman."

Everyone, I just want to tell all how wonderful they are at University of Wash. I'm just not saying that either! They really care for us, not just out for money like so many cancer places. I encourage all to find out if they have a trial for you!

Thanks for the information and the beautiful picture. I just joined this group and feel like I am learning so much already. I am still doing chemo and herceptin, but will be done with chemo by year-end and am looking into the vaccine trials. Univ of Washington has some great trials posted. It is great to know that are compassionate and real with their patients. I have learned over this past year that the only kind of doctor to employ is one with a heart for patients and desire to make true survivors of all of us. Blessings. Laura

Great picture Michele. I just heard from Patty today, trying to see if we can work around my "menopause" issues since my FSH test came back too low.

And welcome Laura :) !

Rose, I'm sure they will try their hardest to get you in. The vaccine itself was not too bad. I hope everything is going ok with you!!

Rose, the vaccine trial that you are trying to get in -- is it still in phase one now?

Jojo,

Call Pat at U of Washington. She is very friendly and will give you all of the info that you need. I do understand that the trial is PhaseI/II, whatever that means.

phase l/ll means that it is still very early but it is having some good results its going on to further trial. If there is not good results from the phase l trials, then no one going to back it with any money to go on further. So it must be having some good results to go on to phase l/ll

Michele: the Seattle poster girl,

What a great picture; sooooo.....I've been thinking..... if my Linda says it's OK, in our next life, you and me....what do you think??

OK....I just got the word, Linda doesn't approve. What if........do you think we'd get caught?
