You are ready to begin your healing session with guided imagry... let yourself be calm and relaxed...release all tension throughout all your body, beginning with your jaw, your eyes, your neck, your shoulders...moving down...down...down... throughout your body, completely relaxed, all tenseness gone. Be aware of your breathing. Let it be slow and even...breathing deeply, calmly...breathing in peace, breathing out stress. Breathing in peace, breathing out stress. Calm and relaxed...calm and relaxed...focus only on the sound of my voice, on the words and whatever mental pictures they may evoke, hear only my voice, no other sounds. Breathing easily, evenly, calm and relaxed... breathing in peace... breathing out stress. You are in a place of healing, surrounded by love and peace, surrounded by a soft, luminous white light, by the gentle power of healing, the healing power of Heaven. Imagine with the sound of my voice that this gentle white light begins to float into your body, starting at the top of your head and moving down...down...down throughout every part of your body. Let it move into those areas where you have been told there is illness, let the light move slowly throughout that area. You may choose to envision that area as it has been told to you, whatever form the illness has taken. The healing light is more powerful than the illness! The cancer cells are weak, deformed, unhealthy. The gentle light surrounds that whole area with warmth, even with heat, if it is needed, with glowing, radiant, holy healing...Every part of that illness, in whatever form it has taken, is subject to the warm, glowing, healing light, to the power of healing. The illness cannot hide. If it tries to fight back it is surrounded by militant white cells which are glowing with the healing power. The militant white cells surround the unhealthy cells with healing power, and those cancer cells now begin to shrink, to wither, to disintegrate, to dissolve...caught up in the glowing white light... the area where they were is now tender, pink, healthy, a new place where illness can no longer hide. The healing white light floats gently down through your body and out through the soles of your feet, taking the unhealthy cells with it, and leaving only healing behind. Breathing calmly, slowly, when you are ready, when the healing is complete, begin to come up gently, back up to this time and this place, surrounded by love and peace and healing, knowing that you can call upon this white light of healing whenever you need or want to, knowing that your body has the power to overcome any illness, to heal, and to be healthy and strong.

The script above is only a begining. You can add, as StephN suggests, the power of the particular medication or treatment you are using. Herceptin is our miracle and its power can be envisioned. You can envision the unhealthy cells being attacked by white knights, or dragons, or whatever imagry is helpful and evokes a powerful healing response in your body. I think the breathing is especially important, the healing white light is important, and repetition is very important. You could also take the script, either this one or whatever you devise by adding to it, with you to chemotherapy and either listen to the tape you've made or just read the words over and over. I would love to hear any responses, comments, or experiences you have with this. I wish you all well! Hugs, Tricia

Thank you Tricia....in the craziness and busyness of the day I always forget how tucked in I feel after meditating and visualizing...thank you for bringing me back to that calm center.

My son took his drivers test last week and while in line I saw the nervous tension that was taking hold of him and I gently reminded him to take 3 deep breaths - each time counting to 4 as he inhaled, holding for a count of 4 and slowly exhaling for a count of 4. Within 3 deep breaths his nerves settled and no one around him noticed anything...which as we all know looking cool is of upmost importance at this age!

Looking forward to more travels with you.

Best
Tami
