The HER2 Support Group in cooperation with Veritas Medicine is launching a new clinical trial search engine and notification feature.
With the search engine, you can locate clinical trials near where you live. If there currently are none, you can register with their service and they will email you when one meeting your criteria is recruiting.

More On These Trials
We currently have 2 breast cancer studies:
(1) The criteria does not state anything about being HER2+. However, I am including a general trial description in the event that you want to include on your message boards.

A Clinical Research Study for the Treatment of Advanced Breast Cancer
Purpose
The primary goal of this research study is to determine whether the patients treated with an experimental combination of two drugs live longer than those treated with a standard drug alone. Additionally, the likelihood of the tumor shrinking in response to the treatment, the duration of the tumor staying stable, the side effects of the treatment, and the quality of life will be also compared between these two treatments.
Description
Participants will be assigned by chance to receive either a standard drug or an experimental combination of two drugs. If you choose to participate in this study, you and your study doctor will know which treatment you are receiving, and your condition will be closely monitored accordingly. In addition, you and your caregiver will be provided with information and support to help you throughout your treatment. Study drugs will be administered intravenously at the clinic once every 3 weeks. Regular check-up visits to the clinic will also be scheduled for the duration of the study. Treatments are provided at no charge to participants.
This information is made available with funding from Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development, L.L.C., the sponsor of this study.
(2) In addition, we have another trial the requires ER+ tumors or PgR+ in postmenopausal women.

What is the purpose of these trials?
This series of clinical trials is designed to find out if an investigational medication, GW572016, helps stop cancer cell growth in women who have advanced stage breast cancer. They will also evaluate the safety of the drug and what side effects it may cause. Some of the research studies will compare the investigational medication to an already approved treatment.
Who qualifies for these trials?
These studies are specifically for women who are at least 18 years old with advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Each clinical trial has specific eligibility requirements. If you complete the questionnaire, and match the basic eligibility criteria for any of these trials, you will be given the option to be referred to a research site near you for further evaluation.
What to expect if you qualify:
The women who participate in these clinical trials will be evaluated by the study doctor on a regular basis to see if their tumor(s) have responded to the study medication(s). All study participants will receive the investigational medication at no cost.
