Now that I have the MDS battle I have to spend more time on that forum and doing research. I miss you guys. Wish I just had breast cancer. That was easier, altho I thought that was bad!!! It is all relative. I haven't had time to read your posts, but you all better be doing well or else!!! I can't be losing anybody until I can get back here!!!

I go to the doctor tomorrow. I hope I have not progressed in 3 wks. I spose that would mean a blood transfusion, altho I have so many questions to ask tomorrow, my doctor is going to pull his hair out. He hates questions! I just don't know where to go from here. I hope a referral but from what I gather I will just get supportive care for now.
I am still getting herceptin tomorrow. I wonder how long I will be allowed to have that?
And after that appointment, we are jumping in the car and taking a two day drive to ND to celebrate Mom's 86th birthday. NOTHING is going to stop us from going places and enjoying life! I am a little winded but that doesn't matter. Just have to stop and rest more often, but then we are off!!!
So we will just count it all joy when we fall into various trials........... right???
Hugs, Lola
y'all take care now, ya hear?

Lola-great to hear from you!!

I check the board just about every day and get so used to reading the posts and recognising the names, I start to wonder if we don't hear from someone in a while.

I remember your earlier posts-always full of good humour and positive thinking. And you're just the same now you're facing this latest challenge.

Wishing you all the very best and have a wonderful time at your mum's birthday!

Sieze the day!!!

All the very best

Cheers
Pauline

Dear Lola -
I sure hope you get that referral! Is your insurance one that requires a referral, or can you just go to another provider for a second opinion? Mine lets me choose my own second opinion as long as they are a covered provider. Makes things a little easier for me!

Let is know what your doc has to say. Hope he is bald by the time you are through asking all your questions! Maybe that will inspire him to give the referral?!

We all send our hugs and blessings.
