Thanks Sandy-what a great idea!

Your post has got me looking for something similar here in Australia. I hadn't thought of the lymphodema issue as an issue. I'm fully aware of it in my daily life, but if I'm unconscious or in an accident?? Who else would know?

I'm going to check out the Medic Alert website and see what they've got on offer.

Cheers

Sandy,
I ordered some and they were free and the company was great. I can vouch for them!

I received my alert bracelets about a month ago and wore one when my port was inserted 2 weeks ago. Got the nurses attention and I didn't have to worry when I was 'under'.

I think that everyone should have a small supply on hand.

Hugs,
janelle

Thanks Sandy! I have a jewelry-type chain with engraved plate for my affected arm, but it does look like jewelery and I don't know if it would be noticed in an emergency, plus when I've gone in for surgery they don't let me keep it on for steril reasons, so instead I've written on my arm in felt-tip pen so they don't mess with it; these wrist bands look very official and I think I could get away with keeping it on! Thanks again.

Love, Lolly
