Hi Rosie; I had never heard of this drug until you posted your question earlier, so I did some searching and came up with lots of information.
Here's a link to an article explaining that it was put on fast-track approval to treat Small Cell Lung Cancer, after being approved earlier this year for treating mesothelioma:

It's also going into clinical trials to see how affective it will be in treating breast cancer. Here's a link to a trial that is combining it with Gemzar:

You can find more links to other articles and trials by just googling it with breast cancer...Hope this helps.

Love, Lolly

Good job Lolly! I was wondering about this drug but was so busy I have not had time to research it. Sounds good. How are you feeling? Hugs, Sandy

Hi Sandy, I'm feeling pretty good overall, no lingering aches, pains etc. from the vaccine although I still have a pretty good sized lump on my thigh from the companion tetanus vaccine they gave me! Thanks for asking...

THanks so much Lolly. I am looking into alimta and will probably try it next. The scary thing is that there is NO information about alimta and herceptin. Geez, I hate to be the first.....
