Hi
This is for Lolly and anyone else that wonders what it means.
The traditional saying lang may your lum reek (literally, long may your chimney smoke) is a way of wishing someone long life and prosperity.
It is just a Scottish saying and I usually add it to the end of my e-mails.I live in England now in fact I have lived here longer than I lived in Scotland, but Scotland is still home.
I now live near Nottingham (Robin Hood country)
