Hi Cheryl -

I have always been sensitive to my tumor markers and that is how I believe I have always caught my recurrences early. Through the years I have learned how high was to high for me. That is how I believe we have caught my recurrences early and up to now have been able to control the spread. Everyone is different, but I would go ahead and have the scans done early.

I agree with Irene, have the scans done asap, then you will know if and what you're up against and can form a plan of action for the new year. For myself, the unknown is more scary.

YES!!!! Do not wait. I agree that tumor markers should be paid attention to, get them early and low. I know they fluctuate but I pay attention to them because I believe that rising markers indicate the possibility of disease progression and it's important to catch it as early as possible.
