Hi Marcy,
The name of the derm is Darrell Rigel, 212-684-5964. He is not in my HMO, but I felt it was worth going anyway.
After seeing him, I called a few derms in my network, but couldn't find anyone who had enough experience to know about paraneoplastic syndrome. One derm, who was in my network, said that if I had seen Rigel, there was no need for me to see him too; Rigel was the best. Guess I lucked out.
While he and his staff are very nice, my onc had to call him for info on my visit. I saw Rigel in Sept and the written report was just sent out to my onc; that's how busy he is.
Wondering why you're interested in Dr. Rigel...
