High recurrence mets to the brain while on herceptin? I haven't read anything about this. Do you mean that your chances of gettin brain mets are INCREASED while on adjuvant herceptin? Have you got any links that you can send me?

I just tried to get into your vaccine trial, but I didn't meet their criteria for positive nodes. But I've been accepted into the herceptin trial (don't know what arm yet). Getting brain mets would be my worst nightmare.

Hi Marianne,

Where is your herceptin study being conducted? Sounds like you're node neg., too? I agree about not wanting that nightmare of brain mets, but that's what it sounded like to me. How do you go about getting accepted to a herceptin trial and will this make you reconsider? Is that better than going "off label" with a physician? What is your story?
