Ladies and Gents,
The good news is my brain is clear!!! The other good news is that the only areas that showed up on the PET are the lymph nodes in my neck and above my collarbone, which are the ones that I was concerned about, and two small ones in the right axilla, which I can't feel at all, except for an occasional tenderness. My oncologist thinks Navelbine has a good chance of working again, so we'll try that first. I start tomorrow, and am relieved that it seems we're catching it early and will just nip it in the bud. HA, privately I use stronger language!
Thank you all for your great support after I posted last week, it really lifted our spirits and gave me much needed strength.
We're celebrating tonight!
Love, Lolly

Hi Lolly, brilliant news, not much action with my neck, carboplatin not kicking in, getting blown out in the neck I look like I have lymphoedema in the neck if that is possible. Mine came up while I was on the Navelbine so hope the new trial drug will be a magic bullet. I e-mailed my onc today and brought him up to date. My neck has red patches and itchy as well as swollen and hard, seems to blow up then go down a bit, I have been taking measurements and my brother took a digital picture 3 weeks ago to see progress so I will get him to take another tomorrow and e-mail my onc again. I have been tempted to take the Xeloda I have in the cupboard for my skin mets, maybe same strain. I will wait and see what onc has to say. I dearly nope the Nav works for you, it worked quickly for me the first time. If not might have to give the Iressa ago.

Love & big hugs Lyn

Thrilled. That's the word I'd use to describe how I feel about your test results! Way to go, Lolly. Way to go.

Love and healing light,

Lisa

Yeah! Get that Navelbine to do the "happy dance" on those mets. Just sweep them right off your dance floor into the trash bin!
What a relief that the MRI was clear and that load is off your mind.
You will get through this bit in a hurry, I am confident.
Keep on keeping on, as they used to say. I think this is a useful phrase ...

Dear Lolly,
I am psyched to hear the good news. I'm sure you will lick those pesky mets in no time! Big hugs, Carol
