Well i am back for my monday check-in. Bob read an article that a pet can help in cancer recovery. So waalaa we now have a new little brittany puppy. Haven't named him yet, maybe herceptin? or Her2? it is a male so that doesn't sound right..... Well I can see how theraputic this can be. I have not had such a busy day in a long time...."No! Don't do that in the house!!" In and OUt, in and out. Believe me I didn't think about cancer til this moment!! I hope he gets this kennel thing down. I can't hold him every day, ALL day. He sure is cute and does put a smile on the face just looking at him. So if your'e finding yourself a little blue, do I have the solution for you!!!! Hugs, Lola

I love it! If nothing else, he will definitely keep you busy. And give you lots of positive support! Hey, how about "S'PORT" for a name!

Love and healing light,

Lisa

That is great news - helps get you going and keep going all day! My last cat (down to one from three) is not very demanding, but she does give me a great deal of love and joy. Knows just when I need a buddy!

Since my onc advised that I not get pregnant, I went out to adopt a dog & sort of 'stole' the family cat from my nephew. Now, I feel my family is fulfilled. Doggie & the cat bring a lot of sunshine to my home. :-) Hugs

That's so cool!! We have one dog (half lab and half retreiver) and two cats (one of the cats will always sleep on my legs). They're such good company and seem to know when you're not feeling well.

Have fun with your puppy and keep us posted. I miss your posts.

love,
shelley

I adopted a kitten on the day I found out I had a cancer recurrence. I named her Hope. It helped me and my kids cope with the news. You can't look at a kitten or puppy and not smile. Best wishes to you!

We just adopted a akitten from the shelter- We have a 16 yr old cat who recently lost his companion (a 12 yr simese) so my hubby decided to replace him with a kitten who he thought I would also enjoy . We named her Gilda (after Gilda Radner the comedienne who has alwas been my favorite and hero (She went through ovarian cancer in 1989 and wrote a wonderfu book) This kitty keeps me on my toes! Our house is her personal Disneyland- nothing is spared. I get frustrated with her but also laugh alaot at her antics and scrobatics! I belive animals are good for us and they seem to sense when we arent feeling well too . Good luck and enjoy.
