Herceptin Dosage??

I just moved and have a new oncologist. Can you guys tell me what your dosage of Herceptin is/was? My new onc. is doing 2 mg per kg. The chemo nurse said it was a "low dose". She said that some get 2.25, 2.50 or 2.75 per kg. I thought the dose was a flat rate based on weight. If you could shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

That's very interesting. I thought it was a flat dose too. I will ask what dose I'm getting at my next visit.

I am Stage II on Herceptin off protocol and receive it every three weeks. My dose is 6.0mg/kg. As I weight 121 lbs. or aproximatley 55 kg, I receive 330 mg. every three weeks. Normally the three week dose is three times the normal weekly dose so my oncologist must be using 2 mg. as the normal weekly does.
