I found this back round info about GW572016 on GSK's web site.

I have also located some one who is in the clinical trials and have invited her to post on this site..Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Christine,

I might be participating in this trial. I'm having my original tumor tested and should get the results next week. I have to be off chemo for 4 weeks before (it's been 2 so far). That kind of scares me.

I read the article. I would really like to correspond with that lady you said is going to be or is already in the trial.

Do you happen to know Genentech's or Dennis Slamon's opinion about this drug?

Thanks a bunch.

Blessings and Hugs,

Linda in MI.

Your friends partial response to Herceptin is a good indicator. She should ask her onc about the ongoing clinical trials using GW572016. This drug which is now in phase III has been fast tracked by the FDA and is designed specificly for HER2+ womenwhod had no or a partial response to Herceptin.

Warmest Regards
Joe

Thank you Joe...at least you responded! I'll just do a little of my own looking around reading previous posts about different combinations.
