Funny how you mentioned about trying to get pregnant / having miscarriages. I also had fertility issues prior to DX, but never really started fertility treatments yet, so I hadn't taken anything hormonal for it. Ironically, I'm taking hormonals for prevention of cancer recurrence! Oh well...

While I was going through my active cancer treatment last year (chemo & rads), I went through the grief process for "not having a baby". I've come in terms with it.

Now I know that my husband & I won't be having any kids -- I simply refer my cat & dog as well as 9-year-old niece & 6-year-old nephew as "my kids".

Anyway, the point is.... I wonder if being infertile or having had miscarriages or being pregnant has anything to do with revoking / igniting breast cancer???

The doctors don't know if it is cause or coincidence. Those having fertility problems may tend to take fertility drugs which may tend to cause problems. Or perhaps it is the infertility that correlates with cancer occurence? Perhaps it is Darwinian? I doubt it but who knows. Incidentally, I had no trouble conceiving or carrying a pregnancy to term. The miscarriages I had just prior to my cancer diagnosis were intentional.
