Like what Dr Rugo just said in her recent webchat:
Be careful of what you research on the internet, a lot of info may be outdated. Try to lean towards the NCI & NCCN websites, as they are more frequently updated, per Rugo.
I understand how stats could scare us easily, but it is EXTREMELY important that we NOT let the numbers affect us negatively (i.e. ignite panic)! Let's remind ourselves that each case is individualized & very unique.
Even if the stats look grim, keep in mind that the mortality rate for stage 3 and stage 4 is NOT 100%!! This does NOT mean that everyone in stage 3 & 4 brackets is automatically given the death sentence.
So, keep going on HOPE & FAITH!!
